✨ Women of Katy 2025 Scholarship Recipient : Monica Viveros! ✨
We are proud to honor Monica Viveros, the 2025 Women of Katy Scholarship recipient. Originally from Corpus Christi, Monica now calls the Energy Corridor home and brings her creativity, curiosity, and heart for community to everything she does. Whether she’s exploring new places with her partner AJ, crafting and creating, or attending local events, Monica finds joy in connection and growth.
Through Leadership Katy, Monica hopes to deepen her impact by learning more about the people and places that make Katy thrive. She’s already gained valuable insights into herself and her leadership style, while also building friendships and inspiration through Women of Katy events. Her advice for women thinking about getting involved? “Just do it!”
Professionally, Monica is part of the Vertical Web team, where she helps businesses grow through strong SEO strategies and effective website design. She takes pride in projects that make a difference, including her recent work supporting a non-profit serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With her passion, creativity, and dedication, Monica truly represents the spirit of Women of Katy.

Dana Crawford
✨ Women of Katy 2024 Scholarship Recipient : Dana Crawford! ✨
We’re excited to recognize Dana Crawford, Practice Manager for LifeSculpt MD, as the 2024 recipient of the Women of Katy scholarship for the Katy Leadership Program through the Katy Chamber of Commerce! She is currently a part of the Leadership Katy Class of 2025.
Dana expressed how honored she was to receive this scholarship, sharing that the Leadership Program has been an invaluable tool for networking and learning how to make a lasting impact in the Katy community. From meeting elected officials to gaining insights into Katy’s key industries, Dana has been learning from some of the best leaders in the area. The program has been fun, educational, and inspiring, leaving her excited for Katy’s future.
Our mission is to raise funds to award at least 1 scholarship annually to a deserving candidate. To qualify, applicants must attend at least one Women of Katy event before August, complete the application, and be selected by a Leadership Alumni committee.
We’re proud to support strong, visionary women like Dana and can’t wait to see her leadership journey continue to thrive! 🌟

Leadership Katy Tuition Scholarship
The Leadership Katy Scholarship, funded by Women of Katy, was created to invest in women who are passionate about serving and strengthening our community but may face financial barriers to participating in the Leadership Katy program. Through the generosity of our sponsors, event attendees, and community partners, this scholarship helps provide deserving women with the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, expand their professional network, and make a lasting impact in Katy. Every Women of Katy event helps support this mission, ensuring we continue to empower the next generation of leaders who will serve, inspire, and create positive change in our community.

About Leadership Katy
Leadership Katy is the premier civic leadership development program in the Katy area aimed at convening, connecting and mobilizing a pipeline of promising leaders to explore and address key business and community issues in the Katy community. Leadership Katy is a Program of The Katy Area Chamber of Commerce!
Each year, individuals will be selected to participate in a 9-month program that meets once a month. Participants receive in-depth exposure to the issues facing the community through lectures, discussion groups, on-site visits, simulations, and other leadership development activities. The program enables participants to develop their leadership capacities, build strong relationships, and prepare themselves for the challenges of the years to come.
Benefits of Leadership Katy
Leadership Katy participants build the knowledge, confidence and motivation to become actively involved in promoting constructive change for the Katy Area. Class members will grow in awareness and understanding of the challenges and issues facing our community. Leadership Katy opens the door for enhanced corporate/organizational community involvement and visibility, develops valuable contacts and networks, and helps identify where strategic alliances might be formed. Employers and sponsoring organizations will see increased leadership and problem-solving skills in their employees who participate in the program. The community will experience immediate benefit from increased involvement on the part of the participants and will reap future benefits from the collective commitment to effective leadership by the graduates of Leadership Katy.
